Parking Tips

  • Street Parking: Metered pay-parking is available directly along West 4th Avenue and on the side streets (Cypress, Maple, Yew)


  • Free Parking: Free 1-hour and 2-hour residential parking spots are typically available on the surrounding blocks of Cypress St, Maple St, and West 3rd Ave (always check local signage).
  • On busier afternoons, give yourself a few extra minutes to find a spot.

Driving From Richmond

  • By Car: Cross the Fraser River on the Arthur Laing Bridge onto Granville Street, or the Oak Street Bridge onto Oak Street, then head north and west into Kitsilano and West 4th Avenue. From most of Richmond, that's around 20 to 30 minutes off-peak, though the bridges can slow at rush hour, so time your appointment accordingly.

How to Get Here (by Transit )

  • By Canada Line, the easy car-free option: Richmond's Canada Line makes this trip simple. Board at Richmond-Brighouse, Lansdowne, Aberdeen, or Bridgeport and ride toward downtown Vancouver, then connect to a bus heading for Kitsilano and West 4th. You can also get off along the Broadway corridor and transfer west.

Closer Than It Feels

Richmond's flat, direct connections to the west side mean the trip is usually shorter than people expect, and it barely touches the downtown core. If you're coming from Steveston or the south end of the city, allow a little more time, but from Richmond Centre and City Centre you're not far at all.
